This is an independent community website for the villages comprising the parish of Meopham (Meopham Green, Culverstone, Nurstead and Harvel) intended to complement the site maintained by Meopham Parish Council.

It aims to provide residents with a range of reliable information about the area, particularly an accurate and up-to-date list of the many organisations and businesses that are active in it and the many events that are held each year. Under the `Local Directories` tab you will find details of almost 200 local organisations, divided into `Sport and Leisure`, `Groups and Societies`, `Education` and `Services`, plus around 75 local businesses and 30 or so local events.

Providing a comprehensive up-to-date directory can only be done with community involvement, so we have provided facilities that enable our community to add new information, edit the information that is already there and notify us of any obsolete or out-of-date entries. Authorised representatives of local organisations and businesses and event organisers can also apply for a password they can use to edit their details and to upload further information if they wish. In the case of businesses, customers can also upload their personal comments.

The `Meopham in Context` tab gives access to a clickable map of local landmarks, plus links to other sites, including the Parish, Borough and County Councils. If you have any queries or comments (or want to report any errors) you can send them to us by clicking on the `Contact Us` tab.To communicate with other local residents and keep up-to-date with what is happening in the village, you may also want to access the `Meopham village not town` Facebook group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/253863097990890/ (you will need to login to Facebook to view this page, and join the group if you want to post a comment).
